Michael Wilkinson, owner of Allegiant Law Office in Bozeman, Montana

BIOGRAPHY

Michael A. Wilkinson, JD, PhD

Before getting to Bozeman, Montana, my career as a legal professional started in Oklahoma where I was licensed to practice in 1999. After a few years in “Green County,” I spent a decade in enemy territory at a firm in Texas. When we couldn’t take the heat anymore (literally), my wife and I escaped to Kentucky, where I earned a PhD in theology in 2020. Then after a few years directing a campus ministry at Harvard Law School, we finally made our way out here to the “Last Best Place” … and we tried to shut the door behind us.

For the past few years, I served as General Counsel for Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply. Although I still consider myself a proud Murdochian, I started Allegiant Law to focus on providing legal solutions to individuals and small businesses in Montana looking for a lawyer who values loyalty over lifestyle, integrity over personal interest, and excellence over convenience.

You should know that my first and highest allegiance is to the Lord Jesus Christ. And it’s precisely for that reason that I am committed to my clients and their best interests as an extension of his common grace. To help instill that worldview and a crucial set of core values in the next generation of lawyers, I also teach as an adjunct professor at Trinity Law School.
